About Evan Selinger

Evan Selinger is a Professor of Philosophy at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he is also Head of Research Communications, Community & Ethics at the Center for Media, Arts, Games, Interaction, and Creativity (MAGIC). His research primarily addresses ethical issues concerning technology, science, the law, and expertise. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum.

 

Professor Selinger writes for popular magazines, newspapers, and blogs, including Wired, The Atlantic, Slate, Wall Street Journal, The Nation, The Guardian, Salon, CNN, Bloomberg Opinion, The BBC, The Christian Science MonitorNew Scientist, Aeon, Forbes, and Huffington Post. His latest books are Re-Engineering Humanity (co-authored with Brett Frischmann) and The Cambridge Companion to Consumer Privacy (co-edited with Jules Polonetsky and Omer Tene), both of which will be published by Cambridge University Press in the spring of 2018.
