About Edison Spina

Edison Spina is Founder and Coordinator of the USP Center for Technology and Society Studies (CEST). Since 1988, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Digital Systems PCS.

 

Professor Spina’s research interests include: Human Factors, SocioTech System Engineering, Systems Reliability, Software Engineering Processes.

 

Professor Spina is a member of Knoma Knowledge Engineering Laboratory and advisory member of the Bar Association of Brazil Committee on Science and Technology. He has also provided his expertise as the Brazilian Teams Coordinator of European Projects: INSTINC (FP6), BELIEF (FP6), BELIEF 2 (FP7, VertbrALCUE (alpha3), and eMundus and SMART2 (Erasmus Mundus). Additionally, Professor Spina is a member of the International Relations at the Polytechnic School (EP-USP) Committee and consultant on the Executive Board of the Menon Group (Brussels).
