About Jacques Crémer

Jacques Crémer is a Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) Research Faculty and Senior Researcher, CNRS. He has done fundamental work on planning theory, the theory of auctions and organization theory. Professor Crémer’s current research interests are the economics of organization, the economics of the Internet and of the software industries, as well as contract theory.

Professor Crémer is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and a member of its Council. He has been the Director of the Digital Center since 2015. In 2018, he was appointed Special Adviser to European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager, and focused on future challenges of digitisation for competition policy (the appointment ended March 2019).
