Reports of surveillance by the United States lead Europeans to propose a Europe-only cloud, also called the “Schengen cloud.” A Europe-only cloud would require complex legal and technical limits on the routing of data.

This study considers whether firms that sell telecommunications services as a bundle find it easier to retain customers. The data shows that bundling does reduce “churn” for pay television, broadband, and telephone service.

Investment in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) lead to growth of average labor productivity (ALP) and gross domestic product (GDP) growth. ICT investment in became more important over time, while as the importance of ICT manufacturing declined.
