David J. Teece is the Thomas W. Tusher Professor in Global Business at the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1982. He is also the Director for the Center for Global Strategy and Governance, co-editor and co-founder of Industrial and Corporate Change, and Vice Chairman of the LECG Corporation.

Professor Teece researches technology and intellectual property policy, telecommunications policy, antitrust policy, and energy policy at the national and international levels, and the role of product and process development, and intellectual property in the competitive performance of the business enterprise.
