Karen J. Greenberg, a noted expert on national security, terrorism, and civil liberties, is Director of the Center on National Security. The Center conducts research and policy work on issues ranging from terrorism to cutting-edge issues of national and global security, including cybersecurity. From 2003 to 2011, Ms. Greenberg served as the founding Executive Director of the Center on Law and Security at New York University's School of Law. She also served as a visiting or adjunct faculty member at New York University from 1994 to 2009.
Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Nation, The National Interest, Mother Jones, TomDispatch.com, and on major news channels. She is a permanent member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
