Khuong Minh Vu is an Associate Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. His research and teaching concentrate on economic development and policy analysis.
Professor Vu has published numerous papers in prestigious journals, including Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Telecommunication Policy, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, German Economics Review, Information Economics and Policy, Journal of Contemporary Economic Policy, Energy Policy, Journal of Policy Modeling, Asian Economics Papers, Journal of Southeast Asian Economies, and Economics Letters. He has provided extensive consulting and advisory services to international organizations and government agencies, including the UNDP, IMF, World Bank, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), the Financial and Budgetary Committee of Vietnam’s National Assembly, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam. Before transitioning into academia, Dr. Vu had held various government positions in Vietnam, including CEO of Song Cam Chemical Company, Deputy Chief of the Haiphong City Government Office, and Vice-Chairman of Dinh Vu Economic Zone.
Professor Vu (together with his co-author, Boyd Fuller) won the 2011 Best Article Award from the Public and Non-Profit Division of the Academy of Management (USA). He has also won the highest awards for research and teaching at the Lee Kuan Yew School: the LKY School Research Excellence Award (2012) and the LKY School Annual Teaching Excellence Award (2009 and 2011). Professor Vu is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Telecommunication Policy (since 2013) and the Journal of East Asian Policy (since 2009).
